Below you can read my biography. First I will share you how I started and got into golf, my amateur & pro career and the tour life.
At age of 10 years I (Bart van der Does) took my first swing at Island Ameland (2000). During the summer holidays my dad introduced me into golf. I was always into swimming, tennis and fitness. But when I took my first swings with a 7-iron on the driving range I fell in love with the sport. Within six weeks I got my golf license and started to take lessons.
Summer 2003 I started to take lessons from Ad Wessels at Spaarnwoude golfclub. After graduation high school in 2003 my dad and I visited the British Open at the Royal St. Georges. (More details you can read in the TOUR ONLY section)
After high school I continued to several schools and finally college, where I was able to study IT & combine golf together.
After 4 years travelling and visiting multiple PGA European Tour events I picked up the caddie life in 2007 at 17 years of age.

Also in that year (2007) I competed several events through Europe. In 2007 I made my 1st debut as amateur during the Omega Masters at Crans-Sur-Sierre Golf Club.
Through the years I’ve caddied for the worlds greatest players, spent many hours in the Tour Trucks and travelled half the world at young age. With a ton of experience under the belt, and many golf rounds played, it was time for me to take a shot to become pro.
At age of 25 I turned pro at the DGTF. The 1st event als pro I wasn’t nervous at all. I took all my experience from the tour and put it into practice that week. The 1st event out there on the DGTF, I won with 67 shots (5 under par). Later that year I became “Rookie of the Year”.
